Cloverdale Police Department Apprehend Robbery Suspect

On Thursday, May 19, at about 9:39 PM, Cloverdale Police responded to the 600 block of N. Cloverdale Blvd on a report of an armed robbery. During the ensuing investigation, officers recovered the three shell casings from the crime scene.  Officers determined that the silver Honda Accord described by the witness at the scene, matched a vehicle that was stopped earlier by Cloverdale Police. Through a records check, officers were able to identify the driver of the vehicle as being Angel Marron 18 with an address in 20,000 of Hwy 128 in Yorkville.

At approximately 5:55 AM Cloverdale Police and Mendocino County Sheriff’s Deputies executed a search warrant at the residence.  Located inside the residence were Angel Marron and three juvenile males.  During a search of the residence, Cloverdale officers located several items of evidence connecting the subjects to the crime.  Based on the evidence seized, Cloverdale Police arrested Angel Marron and one juvenile for attempted murder, armed robbery, possession of a firearm with no serial number, and assault with a deadly weapon.  Officers arrested the other two juveniles for conspiracy to commit a crime.

City Initiates Annual Maintenance Program For Sewer Collection System

The City's Wastewater (Sewer) Department began the Annual Maintenance Program for the sewer collection system. The City conducts slip lining to prolong the life of existing pipes and reduce costly repairs that require trenching in the pavement referred to as "slip lining".

The City maintains over 20 miles of underground pipes that returns wastewater to the Water Treatment Plant for processing. The City plans to complete slip lining projects on at least 5-6 segments annually. The mains identfiied for slip line repairs are often the  “older sections of pipe” and are assessed by videoing the underground sewer mains.  The City has contracted with Miksis to complete the following point repairs and slip lining:

  • Shahan /Grace Ct.
  • Jefferson/Haehl  (both North and South from manhole)
  • Hardister/Antonio
  • East 3rd/Main
  • Lake/Live Oak (both South and East from manhole)
During slip lining, residents will see work crews from Miksis (MSI) working in an around manholes located near the street segments listed above. Senior Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Jay Robinson is managing the project for the City.
