Furber Park

Parks & Recreation Fall Projects

Parks staff took advantage of the last couple of weeks of warmer weather to address two critical projects. The first taking place at Furber Park parking lot. The parking lot was power-broomed  and sealed by adding a layer of slurry. This will extend the integrity of the parking lot.

2nd Street City Park

The second major project was the completion of preventative maintenance at the 2nd St City Park. With the help and experience of a second certified arborist, Park staff completed a full health hazardous evaluation on several critical trees, and significant tree pruning was performed. The goal of this event was to reduce limb fall incidents and encourage growth of established trees.
