This Draft 2020 UWMP includes a confirmation of the City’s compliance with Senate Bill X7-7 to reduce its long-term water demand by 20% by the year 2020. Also included are city-wide water demand projections to the year 2040 and a comparison of available water supplies to those demands under normal and dry year conditions. Finally, the UWMP includes an updated Water Shortage Contingency Plan, which will help the City to manage water demands in times of reduced supply, as well as a presentation of water demand management measures.

Following the public review period, the UWMP is planned to be presented to City Council at their meeting on May 26, 2021. This meeting will serve as the final opportunity for interested members of the public to participate in the review process for this document. The meeting will be held concurrent with the City Council meeting which begin at 6:00 p.m. and can be viewed via live webcast and joined via teleconference.
