Renewing Your Dog License
Dog license tags are good for one year and beginning January 1 through December 31. Renewal invoices are mailed in November and December and must be paid before January 31st of the following year to prevent late payment penalties.
The Pay My Bill button isn't only for Utility Account payments. To pay your renewal license online by credit/debit card:
- Have your dog license account number (not dog tag numbers) ready
- Go to the Customer Account and Payment Portal
- Choose Pay My Bill
- Follow the prompts
Dog License Fees
Cloverdale's dogs are licensed by the City of Cloverdale. Effective March 24, 2011, licensing fees are $20.00 for spayed or neutered dogs and $40.00 for unaltered dogs. Citizens 62 years and older are entitled to a 50% discount on up to two dog licenses. Replacement tags are $12.50 and $6.25 (for seniors).
Purchasing the Dog License
To purchase the license by mail, fill out the License Application (View the application in Spanish). Mail the application, a copy of your dog's rabies vaccination certificate, spay/neuter certificate (if applicable), and a personal check or money order for the appropriate fee. The license tag will be sent to you in the mail along with a receipt.
To purchase the license in person or to pay by credit card, you may go to City Hall during regular business hours.
